I had taken some "urban snapshots", of the neighbourhood here this past winter (initially of an ice sculpture display - although those didn't turn out all that great.) Anyway, I thought, since I had them put right onto a photo CD, I'd best get 5 or so online, how would I go about putting them on the fotki site?

Sorry Jazzed! I didn't see this until this evening.

Fotki is easy:

Go to the Fotki page and click on "Login" (top right) http://www.fotki.com/

DON'T PICK TRIAL membership. Pick the FREE MEMBERSHIP (unless you want to pay for a membership. I did and I don't regret it).

Fill out the info.

Once you have got your account, it will take you to your space. You can then customize how you want your account to work (number of images per line per page, etc.).

You will also see when you are transferred to your page, that you can add photos. Click on Add Photos. A page will appear with a number of different methods of loading your photos. Depending on your system, you will have to pick the one suited to your system. I use the Java one.

Depending on how many images you are loading, the Java one is pretty quick. The more photos, the longer it takes. You can load your photos from the CD or save them to a file and load them from there.

It really is fairly straightforward, but if you have any probs, let me know. If you like, you can send me an email annekem-at-hotmail-dot-com

Again, sorry that I didn't notice your message before.

Thanks Mudhooks, I didn't find your reply right away either so don't worry about it. I'll be trying it later in the day...I got the photos put straight onto a CD@London Drugs, & of course they list a tech. support #, I assume just for that purpose - people like myself that need help uploading their photos. But it's good to have your address if I need to I'll contact you alright.

No problem, Jazzed...

The CD will probably have software on it which will start and you can load them using that program (the Kodak ones do). It may also have some editing software, as well, in case you don't have your own.

You may also be able to load them simply by going through the Fotki upload and loading directly from your D: drive (if that is your CD drive).
