Meanwhile, our on-again-off-again trip to Cádiz is on again!

It was my birthday for Peter but the weather was so crappy last week we put it off till today. Then last night it started raining and the forecast looked dodgy so we decided not to go. But this morning looks okay - partly cloudy but it's not supposed to rain. Anyhow, should get a few nice photos with the new camera so I'll post a link to them on the photo gallery thread.

Am thinking about sending photo number 27 into your gallery - please give me an honest opinion. Is it just another holiday snapshot or do you think it has any artistic merit?

Lovely photos! I am actually more attracted to #26 than #27.

While the wave breaking on the quay is smaller, there is a lot of tension in the two waves which are just about to break.... I would go with 26. There are a couple of others which, if you cropped them, are particularly fine.

As for tension in the water, I think I prefer photo 25 for that - the water looks almost solid and somehow 'menacing'.

Anyhow, don't think I'll submit any of them. Besides, don't know how to crop them. When I used to scan photos there was a programme for cropping and changing the brightness - the programme that comes with the camera doesn't have this and I only have Paint (I think) so the photos have to go up as is.

Now must go and rinse dye out of hair . . .

Oh, you should put at least one of them in. I really like the quay ones.... Do think about it.

Picassa2 is a free program which organizes your photos on your computer. It also now has good basic editing features, including cropping, light and contrast, and special effect editing. You can download it for free here: http://www.picasa.com/index.php

Geez! That's weird! I don't know why. I was having problems with my computer over the last two weeks, so that is probably the answer. Though, I have been getting emails, so I'm not sure why yours would be singled out. Odd.....
