I know. In terms of the cats, the boys have always been so easy to love because . . . well, they are just so lovable and affectionate and all that. I always had to work at loving Lua because she was always so cranky. Maybe that's why my love for her feels so strong now. All that work.
Anyhow, how are you doing? Haven't heard from you in ages.

I have to go out for a bit. Please feel free to vent. You know that you always have a sympathetic ear at this end. I won't be too terribly long, I don't think.

Drat.... this computer takes so long to load a page. I have high-speed and still, it takes forever...
I am fine. Certainly have less on my plate than you do.
I am thinking of you, though. I know how hard the whole thing is.

Thanks honey - will be on my way to bed soon, I think. Dang! After six weeks without cigs I have smoked three days in the past week.
I just wish I knew what to do - what would be the best thing to do.
Meanwhile, have a nice Saturday and talk to you later.
kisses,

I do wish there was something that could make it all better. You just have to know that you will do what you can do, and that there are lots of people thinking of you.
We all have, at one time or another, to make decisions and want to (and do) second, third and fifteenth-guess ourselves before, during, and after. Whatever decisions you make, you make them with the best of intentions and after as careful consideration. That is the best you can hope to do.
Don't use your resources wondering if your did what you should or shouldn't have done.... use those resources to comfort Lua and yourself. She is lucky to have someone who loves her enough, no matter what, to do as much as you have done and will do. She's a lucky kitty-cat for all that.

Was just having a chat with anhaga about the vote for the best Canadian ever.
I ended up voting for PET with Glenn Gould coming in second.

Owww.... Hope you are better quick. Nothing like a hurt back. Get the cats to massage it for you. Or at least act as heating-pads.
I nearly fell down the stairs while stepping into mine, but never actually hurt myself.
Sorry, I didn't see this earlier. I had been trying to get in all day, but for some reason the server wouldn't let me in.

azahar Posted Apr 27, 2004
Excuse me, but why on earth would you be standing at the top of the stairs whlst putting on your knickers - or do I dare ask???
I'm on the slow road to recovery now. Less pain, but I have to walk around like I am carrying an over-full glass of water, if you know what I mean. Also, have to do deep-knee bends instead of bending over, to feed cats, pick up anything from the floor, whatever.
Uuurk.
Talk about feeling 85 thousand million years old!
Today is a public holiday because of the spring fair and I am stuck inside. So have decided to just say - f**k it - and drink lots of For medicinal purposes only, of course. Muscle relaxant extraordinaire.
What's new with you?

I was in the upstairs hall and tripped....
I am fine, though had a major dust-up at the Fellowship and have threatened to quit if they don't take some issues that I have seriously. It has to do with our ability to do the music and a general lack of consideration.
I don't know what will happen, but my ability to present the music is being compromised and I am not going to compromise quality needlessly. I am all upset and that won't do.
Gotta run.... I have a meeting.

I will have to do so when I get home.
Had to go to the clinic last night. Just in the last few days, I was finding that I was very short of breath on walking a couple of blocks. My chiro thought it might be walking pneumonia which is "going araund" at the moment. Apparently it isn't pneumonia. However, my blood pressure was WAY, WAY up. The doctor at the clinic sent me for an EKG and blood-tests today and wanted my in to his office ASAP for a complete check-up and review of my EKG.
It was a real wake-up. I was just starting to be able to take walks again without back pain and was horrified that I was finding myself so out of breath.
However, Mom has a heart condition and her father died of a heart attack after a stroke. My father's side of the family, just about every family member had or has heart problems. My grandmother died at age 30 of a heart attack.
I used to be very fit before I had the bike accident that left me with chronic back pain. I tried getting back into aerobic a few months after the accident, but found myself unable to breathe without pain in my ribs during exercise.
Of course, the regular doctors don't take back pain, or chronic pain very seriously. They kept saying I needed to get more exercise... DUH! I can't exercise because my back hurts.....

Oh dear! Let me know what the doc says after you get everything checked. Reminds me that I also need to go in for a complete check-up as I haven't been to the doctor in over two years.
Re: exercise. I bought a Pilates dvd the other day and am going to try it out this weekend (I think the old back might be up for it). It looks like very good stuff - lots of stretching and strengthening exercises. Nothing aerobic, so you wouldn't get short of breath. Anyhow, thought you might want to try it too. There were different Pilates dvd's to choose from so I picked the one that focussed on strengthening the back.
Apparently I will have a whole new body after 30 sessions!
Well, back to the 'born again Bush' thread. Gradient sure gets angry! He tried a bit of ad hominem on me yesterday, which of course didn't work. But now I notice him attacking Michael Moore!

Question. Do you know the name of the Canadian prosecution organisation that would be the equivalent of the UK Crown Prosecution Service?

I would guess the Crown Attorney's Office, Department of Justice.

No, dear.
I will be here in the office. I was just finishing my lunch.
I actually have to get some work done, as I haven't done much at all today. Mom had her driver's teat today. She passed, but it was a written test, not a practical one. It is the practical where she has real problems.....

It totally slipped my mind that you'd be working.
Just wondering how you are as we haven't had a chat for so long. Well, maybe next time one of us has insomnia.
