h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

I saw that you had started a Guide Entry about Unitarian Universalism but had not yet finished it. I was thinking about writing an entry about UUism since I am one and not many people know much about UUs. I was wondering if we could collaborate on a joint article.

As usual, I started it and have gotten so wrapped up in work and other things that I haven't gotten much further. I am the world champion procrastinator.

There is always room on H2G2 for two entries on UUism... and given my concerted effort (hah!) at doing much with mine, it is quite likely that yours would be the only one.

Having said that, if I can help with ideas and feedback, I would be more than happy to. I am also a champion at finding odd bits of information on the internet and if you need something hunted down, I'm the gal to do it.

It is always good to run into a UU. How long have you been one? (that sounds like we should be in AA or something, doesn't it?).

If it were like AA, I'd say, "Hi, my name is Erin and I'm a UU." Then the crowd would say, "Hi, Erin." Anyways, I've been a UU for two years or so. I think I joined up at the beginning of 10th grade. Have you been to GA? I went to the one in Quebec City. Thanks for offering your help!

My real name is Anneke.

I haven't been to GA. For a short time in my youth I went to several LRY (Liberal Religious Youth... I think the name has changed) conferences. However, I was more a "social" member of the LRY than a constructine member. I am afraid I didn't hacve a lot of confidence in my youth and was too shy to take part in a lot of the important things going on. I did go the the UUMN (UU Music Network) conference in Detroit a few years ago. That was pretty terrific.

I have been a lifelong UU, as I may have mentioned in my bio. My Mom used to put me in my carbed in the pulpit during choir practices.

I do want to go to Eagles, though. It is an excellent leadership program.
