Yes, I am blatantly copying other people's idea and starting a movie thread of my very own. So sue me.
Recently watched The Lake House. Not bad as that sort of film goes but the plot 'twist' wasn't all that well hidden.
Bourne Ultimatum (that is the 3rd one, right?) delivered what the adverts promised - action, some story, more action. I'm glad I saw it on the small screen. The cinematography is just choppy enough that it might make me sick on a bigger screen. I think I need to get the books.
Thank You for Smoking was really good - funny and entertaining and smart. Main character is likable despite his career path.
Inside Man - second viewing and I still liked it. Caper story that feels a bit more grown up than the standard cops & robbers movie. All the main characters are morally flexible in their own way. One is robbing a bank but only stealing diamonds from a man who founded his fortune on people's suffering in WWII but who now is a philanthropist and the officer in charge of the case may or may not have stolen $$ from a crime scene and is more than willing to trade his silence and reputation for a promotion.

Deja vu

I have a 3cm cyst on my right ovary. The ultrasound tech said it doesn't look like it has dermoid elements like the teratoma. The surgeon felt that ovary up (eww) and didn't find anything at the end of October. Here we are at the beginning of January and it feels like it's starting all over again.

In Cahoots
Posted Jan 4, 2008
The doctor's office scale and my scale at home are in cahoots! Still 10 pounds up. I guess the true test is to get my cute jeans out and see how they fit and the scales can go to heck. I still need to drop about 100 pounds but that is neither here nor there.
I'm going back in for an ultrasound on Monday. Doctor said everything felt the same as it did before they found the teratoma. She also offered hysterectomy again if get to where I'm in pain or having other horrible symptoms. I get the feeling she thinks it would be a good idea but I'm just not ready for that yet. It's so final.

Spring
Posted Jan 4, 2008
Looks like spring is here. It's supposed to be 50F today and all the way up to 70F on Sunday with chance of showers and high of 51F on Tuesday. Not that I'm complaining. We've needed good weather to take down our Christmas lights and start working on the garage.
