It seems there are a few people on this planet that make an effort (or maybe they don't realize they do so) to be nicer people than others. Good to see a lot of them end up here. This site sure is jam-packed with things. I bet if I were locked in a room for what some might consider far too long, I would be mostly entertained just being here. This site should probably keep my creativity going anyway..

Oh, to answer your question. No, I was actually referring to something related to a short story I recently wrote. Hmm, not entirely but close.

I actually do have a question here. If I click on "Add Entry" to the left on this site, where does my entry actually go? Does someone decide where it should be categorized?

entries are only categorized when they have been edited. when you click on "add an entry" and then write and submit it, it is given an "A" number (eg A123456). this is then the number for that entry. you can access the entry through your page. if you want other people to notice it, try posting a link to it in relevant conversations. what do you want to write an entry on?

I wrote a really simple recipe for soup. I can find it in my space but I figured there was more to it than just writing messages to myself, know what I mean?

I had figured that it was supposed to eventually just make its way into the main search, that's where things get a bit hazy.

if someone does a search for "soup" they probably will find your entry, but if you want your entry to appear in the category system, you'll need to submit it to "peer review". There's a button on the page of the entry to do this ("submit for review")
a few suggestions before you do so though:
change the title to "A Simple Recipe for Soup" instead of just soup, since the entry isn't about all soup ever, and de-personalise it slightly.
apart from that, it looks like a good entry!
