when the system went down for more than a day, or because of them, as telewest, i got something off the bill.

there was one time when its was there fault, the engineer had changed my tap connection, and my emails where yuck, it was 5 days till it was sorted, i got a month free for that, and the top package for a month,

i was only on the middle one at the time. jimbob

When they know its their fault the give you allsorts,,,,,when they aint a clue,as often is case,they fob you off,with,,,did ya do,why didnt ya do etc...... our neighbours with virgin,at least once a week the van is there repairing the crap connection !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!,,,,,Often,when our fone was down,or tv down,it was cos of a fault in bradford or halifax,,,,,,the neighbours were ok,it come from SAME junction box across the road !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!........

my green baox is only one house away, so im lucky, i get a good signal, and i have a pace box, is or was the best they had, the d4000, when most took ten mins to do one email, i can or could do 7 or 8 emails.

rumour is they are sending a new smartcard, and we ahve to install as the leaflet says.when i have no idea.

what a night, rain for over 4 hours.the garden as a pool thats just now sarting to dissapear. lol.

know it well, i lived and worked there in the 70,s. spaer and jackson tools, tempered springs.

i lived in a big house next to the burngreive garage on burngreive rd,i was the caretaker

after you come over the bridge, then it turned to the left, about two hundred yards up was the garage, the house was above, about four storeys high.

probably gone now.cant even remember the owner, he didnt live there, so i got the job collecting rents, and i paye nothing, as i kept the house in good repair, and paited the woodwork from top to bottom on the weekends.

i was working at the time at spear and jacksons, on the repairing oand realining of the cirular saw blades. jimbob

should be, payed, and painted, ruddy k.boards on the way out.

burngrieve was the rd that took you all the way out towards barnsley and then bradford.

if i remember right, there was a popular irish pub just before the the bridge you crossed over.i think back then they had a talent comp a few times a week.

you would call it a petrol station. only about 2 miles from town or less. i think there was also on the turn to the left, a library.

my last job,from about,1989 to 1994,when i had two heart attacks and a mild stroke. was a printer in an architects.

all the towers on any petrol station. i did the prints for all of them when the chang over from the pole with shell and so on was done.

i also did the prints for the meadowhall, thousands opon thousands lol.

i worked at "the robinson parntership" as it was then,the firm had all the garages, service stations and petrol stations, here in england, scotland, ireland and wales, some in germany and africa, and others i cant remember off hand now jimbob

If you get chance to look on you tube,check out the films of the floods we had,,wicker area and where you used to work was under water,you may not recognise the area tho !!!!!!!!

a while back a lady on here from sheffild said it was a ringroad and busniess park in the area.

we had an area here called, shipley glen, on sunday, me and a few mates would cycle ther and back, and play in the canal, slipway.

i went to the area a few years back, all gone, just the canal. and the lake was, an housing estate and park. and you cant even walk the tow path after the area, that was, shipley glen . jimbob
