What happened you that you need stitches? I hate stitches, they just freak me out. As for food, I only got half a mars bar left. You can have it if you want.

Oh, I had a tinsy winsy little operation on my tummy....just one stitch there is too....I think I should take out a protection order against it
Mars bar....can you cut the end off where you've chewed it? I don't mind a half eaten one
ouch
mahargovich Posted Aug 3, 2004
Sure. I'll pop it in the fridge for a bit, before I cut the end off.
Hope you get your stitch out soon.

Vicki, I'm sorry pet. Just went out to get that mars bar out of the fridge, and some pup has made of with it.
You fancy a cup o soup instead?

Vicki Virago - Proud Mother Posted Aug 3, 2004
Oh, well that's just no good!!! No good at all!! You can't promise me chocolate and then go back on your word!
ouch
mahargovich Posted Aug 3, 2004
Yeah typical man!
I did say sorry. Tell you what, I'm going to finish my cup o soup, then I'll nip out to the shop and get you whatever kind of chocolate you want.
OK?

mahargovich Posted Aug 3, 2004
For sure, I'm just on my way now. I'll get ya a plane one and a mint one, just to be sure. Don't worry mate, you'll be stuffing your face soon. You want a sprite or something to wash it down with?
ouch
mahargovich Posted Aug 3, 2004
Now I don't think that's such a good idea for someone in your condition, do you?
ouch
Vicki Virago - Proud Mother Posted Aug 8, 2004
Condition? Do you know something I don't? Apart from a tiny little stitch....there's no "condition" I assure you!

mahargovich Posted Aug 16, 2004
ok then.
Coffee it is.
I really really want to be a non-smoker, but as you say, I just can't give up now, can I?
ouch
Vicki Virago - Proud Mother Posted Aug 16, 2004
YOU can give up....it's me that can't...I'm sure I'm hooked on the darn stupid things!
Thinking of trying some kind of therapy to get me off them....

mahargovich Posted Aug 16, 2004
Yeah I've tried a few things. Hypnosis I think is the best bet, I only smoke about half of what I used to. I think I need another session to get me sorted.
I finish my really boring job this week, so that might help a bit.
You always smoke more when there's nothing else to do, ya know?
ouch
Vicki Virago - Proud Mother Posted Aug 16, 2004
actually...I find that if I'm not at work, I don't smoke anywhere near as much. Must be something to do with routine I suppose.
My mother in law tried hypnosis and gave up for 6 years....good on her is all I can say, even though she did start again.

mahargovich Posted Aug 16, 2004
Yeah my mate's brother in law had stopped for a couple of years, but he started again the night before his wedding.
I'll probably wait to next week before trying to stop. Then my only problem will be eating far too much.

Vicki Virago - Proud Mother Posted Aug 16, 2004
Try chewing gum, or sugar free mints....then take up something like knitting or jigsaws....or absolutely anthing that needs you you concentrate a little and keeps the hands busy...either that, or you can get completely hooked on hootoo!
ouch
Vicki Virago - Proud Mother Posted Aug 16, 2004
Sorry! Hootoo is what us researchers call H2G2....
H2G2 is hootoo
H2G2 researchers are called hootooers
