Thanks for volunteering to be my ACE. I hope you know what you are letting yourself in for.

Please answer me this. I (grammar?) and some of my new h2g2 friends do not want certain people following us from our old message boards/forums because they are the reason we left! Is there any way we can block them?

I see you are a 'born again biker'. Pondboy had his 49th birthday today and celebrated by taking delivery of a spanking new BMW F650GS. It's scrummy

Hi Pondgirl.

Unfortunately, you can't block people from your user space. I wish there were!

H2G2 doesn't have any "private" areas and all threads and conversations are accessable to everyone (even if they're not a member of hootoo).

The only thing I can suggest is, if the people in question are causing hassle to you and posting to conversations in a way that you think break <./>houserules</.>, then yikes their posts.....(there is a little button on the right hand side of each posting in every thread that you press to make a complaint).

The moderators will look at the post and if they agree with you, then they will hide it.

If a researcher keeps getting complaints about them, they will be put on something called "pre-mod" which means all of their posts will be hidden until a moderator can look at it. If the posting doesn't break house rules, then they will let the posting be shown.
