Oh it comes and goes. I've had 5 good days but it came back again last night.

Still waiting an appointment from the hospital.

Good luck there do they like to drag their heels! ..im still waiting for a 6 week post-op check n follow up from surgery i had in october!

Looks like we're in the same boat then....

....one of the surgeons asked my fella how I was the other day. Apparently my symptoms sounds similar to an appendix case he had a few years back...don't really know what to make of that.

I had laser for a scary smear test result ..not heard anything except the biopsy results which were ok.

I think theyd've spotted appendicitis while you were thereor you'd be a lot sicker by now..all sorts of things cause belly pain though..havve they checked for cysts n whatnot? i had terrible pain in my side n what seemed to be my hip on n off for months..turned out to be an enormous ovarian cyst that was pressing on everything else. make a fuss!

I've had 2 ultrasound scans. One internal and one external. It's shown nothing wrong with my "bits"

As for the appendix thing, they think this....

That a piece of poo keeps popping inside the appendix which is triggering the pain and then pops back out again of it's own accord which then lets the appendix calm down.

The pain seems to co-incide with toilet habits too. I've already told them this, but they don't agree with me - ah well, they're the doctors I suppose.



As for smears...a few years ago I had a small scare....they did a test that came back insufficient...the next one did too...the third one the doctor did using a different tool to gather the cells. That one cam back fine.

so theyre just saying lump it? thats not good..
no chance it could be ibs? that can be really bad..i only get it mildy, but an ex of mine had it so bad they thought it was a kidney playing up for ages!

All my smears (welll i'd only had a few) had bee fine..then i missed ONE ..the next one came back as CIN 3 .. hence the biopsy n laser as it wouldve turned to cancer most likely in a few years if there wasn't some there already. I want to be a man..they dont have to be prodded like we do!

As for being a man - yes please! Either that, or take everything away!

Well as long as they're giving good pain killers etc in the meantime!


I dunno about taking everything away... just the bits that cause trouble..some can stay

Not that good actually.....I still feel the sharp stabbing pains....the painkillers are only 30/500 (codein and paracetamol mix)...2 of them 3 times a day.....they make me fly though!

The best ones i ever got was after they put the metal hinge in my elbow it was 2x 500 paracetamol and 2x damn i cant remember the name..something beginning with T thats really strong n opiate based.. i was totally out of it for weeks

It's quite strange because I'm sort of used to them now.

Sometimes I do feel a little strange though.
