yahoo ive found my life partner, a lady friend who likes both bikes and F1 i have searched the highs and lows to find someone to talk about formula one with. vicky you get better the more i talk to you or read through you entries. I must admit michael is a good driver but he is to smug for his own good where as rubens has to play second fiddle to him and let him win when he`s just as good a driver but if you put schumacher in a different car he would have no chance of keeping up

Most men like F1 and bikes (especially women in Red Leather Pants)!! so it's no surprise I found someone to talk to about F1.

I do agree with you to a point, but Michael made the Ferrari what it is and don't forget he also made Benneton as well. He is a dedicated test driver and that's what you need. None of this "oh get someone who wasn't very good at the races and if they crash so what" attitude.

I must admit though, gone are the days when you could really get behind a particular driver (we've got no good british drivers yet. Button has yet to mature). It was great in 96 when Damon Hill won the championship at Suzuka. It was my 21st birthday on the Saturday and we were in York for the weekend. (my favourite city). We got up early to watch the race and couldn't believe it when Villeneuve's tyre went bouncing down the track. Yaaaahoooooo!!!!!!!

I think it went over the wire mesh into the crowd.

i would love to go to a race meeting at silverstone but it all seems to predictable nowadays what with all the electronic devices to keep them on the road, no more driver involvement, do away with traction control and launch control and there might be a better fight for a place in the points.

But things are changing and perhaps it will get a little more exiting next year!!

i hope so coz it just seems to be getting very repetative and i just get bored after a few laps.

Well write to Bernie Ecclestone and make a complaint!!

I do agree with you though. After the first corner, unless a car fails or falls off the track, the race is won.
