Someone keen on cars well done preferences Volvo Mercedes and MG's the midget being the most exhilarating and having the best weight displacement exceptional cars. The problem is they afford little more protection than that of a hang glider.
However a BMW hire car can be excellent fun you know "nothing dives better than....", you know the rest.
Some people think they are stodgy but you need to be initiated in the dark art of double D clutch. 
PS you can use double D on an automatic box providing there is a 3 speed manual option but you probably knew that.
