You say you're a "veritable font of all knowledge," may I refer you to the intro on my 'my space,' as I'm currently roaming the internet for the most useless of facts to add to my already sizeable collection.
Glad you like the name, real name is John.
Good luck with the saving L, hope you're better at it than I am!!

Hi John!
Ah ha! Here's a random fact for you...
In the 1995 World Rally Championship, Carlos Sainz's car had the registration L555 REP, Colin McRae's was L555 BAT, and Richard Burns' car for the RAC (his one-off drive for them) had the number L555 STE.
I can't think of any more off the top of my head, but I haven't had a cup of coffee yet so....
As for the saving...well...I'm getting better, but comparing the rate of house price rises to the rate I'm saving means that I'll still be saving for a house when I'm 60

to hear that Rain , I too am in the unenviable position of saving for a house so can appreciate your predicament. I live in London, although originally from the Naughty North.
Ta also for the fact. Where did you get that one from and, more to the point, do you know what the numbers stood for (why L555?)

I'm originally from Rotherham, and I wouldn't even want to try and save for a house in London!
I'm just a rallying anorak! L is the registration year, and the numbers related to the team sponsors. British American Tobacco (hence BAT) bankrolled the team using their 555 brand (hence 555). Carlos Sainz was sponsored by Repsol, hence REP. And Burnsies car was STE after Subaru Technica Europe (I think).
I also think I need a life!
