Hi!
I haven't read them in publishing order, and it didn't make too much difference, actually . I'm still missing some of the earlier books.
Some of them are linked together, but not so that you need to have read all the others first. There are a few characters that pop up again and again - like Sam Vimes and the Watch in Jingo - but they're not in every single one.
My favourite one at the moment is Thief of Time.
Hope your girlfriend comes back soon, but till then . Just think how nice it'll be when she's back!

Corporal Littlebottom seems to be one of them mentioned more than once:
(She is mentioned in the first 15 pages of Jingo and she is a lead character in the fifth elephant???
By the way where are you from?

Yes - she's introduced in Feet of Clay, and she is pretty major in The 5th Elephant. I should be disturbed that I remember that!
I'm originally from Rotherham, South Yorkshire, UK, but I've lived in various places around the UK. What about you?

I am from Mainz, which is the capital of Rhineland - Palatinate.
Currently i am in Bitburg (don`t know if you ever heard of that place) I am learning the job of a travel agent here.

I know where Mainz is, although I'm not sure about Bitburg. Travel agent must be an interesting job, are you studying for a qualification or training on the job?
