You asked a while back why I keep lumping your LDS church with the Roman Catholic church well the answer is quite simple and Id have expected you to know it but here is a link to an explanation more eloquent than any I might normally give. http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/brunel/F65280?thread=503972&post=24010949#p24010949 "in my view, Catholicism (along with Eastern Orthodoxy) were the original orthodox Christian religions, and so are the basis for every other denomination of Christianity (whether those other denominations like it or not!). If you have read it let me assure that the fact the name of the researcher "Karl" is the same as mine is probably just coincidence can you imagine anyone being stupid enough to want to immitate me The rest of his questions are pretty god too.

Er ... I'm not LDS. I'm RLDS. Lumping latter day saints and protestants in with catholics is the same as lumping christians with jews.

Oh! So you *do* think the Book of Mormon is utter junk too then? Phew! I'm glad at least you have *some* common sense.

No, no, the LDS and the RLDS are the two largest Latter Day Saint denominations. After the death of Joseph Smith Jr, the LDS followed Brigham Young to Utah and got involved in polygamy and other junk, whilest the group that became known as the RLDS stayed in Independence and eventually followed Joseph Smith III when he became the new prophet in 1860. The LDS and the RLDS are two completely seperate groups.
