I completley agree and want to apologise for my outburst in that thread, I try and act politely wherever possible usually, after all, if threads descend into mere abuse (as I've noticed some have) everybody loses sight of the real issues and nothing is achieved.

And by the way, if you're intrested in religion you might want to check out my (first) entry at A8364684. I appreciate you might no agree with the arguments, but its a look at some of the ways key historical figures (including many theists) believe that 'We Created God', in a real sense; causing God to exist. I'm agnostic so it's not from an atheists perspective.

tis fine - I have lotsa people on my friends list - and though I do post crazy crap on my journal, I usually try to keep it personal on there, not political so uh, yeah I try to talk about Fun Stuff or Stuff About Me ... I'm saying that because when you put someone on their friends list you automatically subscribe to their journal.

I have noticed this problem as well. In fact I am worried that I may have become part of the problem on some threads instead of part of the solution. I completely agree that threads descend into mere abuse (as I've noticed some have) everybody loses sight of the real issues and nothing is achieved.

Nothing is usually achieved anyway, except for some fun moments like what I got to say to Ste "Hmm ... First you quote me, then you agree with me. OK. " ... that was fun and moments like this when people who disagree about so much stuff that they hardly have any grounds for conversation manage to be civil to each other and even become friends.
