Well the train journey to Edinburgh was uneventful when we were almost at the city fog descended like a thick zombie filled blanket till Haymarket. A stones throw later and I was at Edinburgh Waverley which is a huge station huge and poorly sign posted... with lots of doors and exits and bridges and shops... for cookies and papers.
Ben (the wonderful lady that she is) came to pick me up in her red car and we went to queensferry which is lovely and the bridges are very impressive if you can see them through the fog(+zombies).
The taxi drivers are not very polite but that seems to be synonymous with the breed.
Once ensconced within there lovely house (dead rabbit partly eaten by cat on kitchen floor Ben was embarrassed but its not her fault cats can be evil like that)Mammoth arrived
he's lovely too not quite what you imagine from a doctor but i think thats due to the lack of magical powers and tardis but then he's not that sort of doctor anyway he's the medical sort...
and they very kindly took me to dinner at a pub under the bridge (more zombies)
The interview the next day went fine it wasnt anywhere near as intimidating as i thought it might be, it was raining when i came out and i got a bus to town and the bus driver told me when to get off which was nice, then i wandered around the city, went into a shopping centre, i think it was princes mall... and then found a restaurant to eat in (scary posh - trying to be posh but without the niceness of the food to back it up)somewhere called Hadrian's connected to a hotel the food was disappointing considering the cost and the waiters thought too highly of themselves...
then the train home,
to say i was tiered yesterday when i woke up at home is an understatement I think that may have come across a bit in a post I made,
thing is I'm happy with Cumbria university its lovely the people seem ok and it feels friendly enough, I think I will probably train there and then move back to Scotland once I've qualified and work there,
Although Edinburgh was lovely its such a long way away

I know it will prof,
thats part of the reason I unsubscribed from there
its just sometimes when your tired your emotions get all jumbled up and you say things you regret later.
I did try to tempt Joe to the research masters at Robert Gordon University but he said its a bit far

When Aberdeen tried to recruit me they said 'Aberdeen's only a long way away if you are not in Aberdeen, when you live here it's quite close really'.

yes well I do find that everywhere is quite close if you live there already...
what Joseph is hoping to apply for (and has feedback from two tutors on his ideas for) is a research masters in ceramics
sadly the Scottish university's stopped offering ceramics quite a few years ago and I'm not sure if any of them offer a research masters in the course,
the research masters he is applying for is funded so he wouldn't need to pay the fees which given that uni is quite expensive is a blessing that you dont often find
