I am such a wuss, I thought I would go into town and get some bits and bobs, no grand plan, but it raining hard and I'll be drenched by the time I pick up the car and the news has scared me witless by it being the 'busiest shopping day of the year'

monster was a bit chesty this morning i dont think the cold and damp are good for him, poor soul
he should be ok later though as long as he dosnt bounce about too much
I'm tired little bear dosnt afford me much sleep at the moment but i feel guilty for staying in bed
i shall get up and put the new colour in my hair soon i think, at least get it looking half presentable for the family get together

busy day today git up at 7.30 looked after baby fit in a nap, wash bottles make bottles change bottoms etc Joe gets home around 4.30
make dinner shuffle monster to bed by 7 fit in a bath...

ok its not that busy but mini monster is a handful

sounds busy to me, for all the fun and joy raising monsters is and the love they bring, it is hard work raising s and keeping a house

I hope you don't just fit in a bath but get to have a proper relax (without falling asleep )

Haven't dyed Hiccup's hair in ages, so back to natural now, still lots of blond highlights but less ginger than it used to be.

I wish I could let it go natural but there is that odd sprig of silver... i blame the boys

I see odd strands of white and have to say that I quite like them.
I have never dyed my hair although I have said when it completely loses it colour I might go for some really vivid colours and be a punk granny

punk grannys are the best

Mind you after yesterday's palava to put an outfit together, it is just as well that I start thinking about it now.

My New Years resolution has been not be such a lazy dresser, I've been doing quite well. As I was going for a family celebration I thought a 'new outfit' was in order

I had been told black tights, not grey with a grey skirt, took ages to locate black tights, put on skirt, took a minute or two to work out should zip be a the side or in the front.

Decided that there was no getting away with it, the skirt need an iron, another half hour finding the iron (when I told Mum I had ironed she said Bl**dy hell no wonder it clouded over!)

Even though I had showered early my hair was refusing to dry, picked up Hiccup hair dryer, how many settings?? Stared at it blankly for a second or two before finding on and off

Finally I thought I was ready. Hiccup walked through the door and said 'like your skirt but that jumper doesn't really go with it.'

The colour was fine, style was wrong. There are two ways of wearing this jumper you let the 'neck bit' be floppy or fold it and pull it across your shoulders. I wear it floppy, but if put it on my shoulders it looked fine *sigh of relief*

So now I know

and jumper on the shoulder not off

that does sound like quite a challenge getting dressed.

today we are going to attempt to bake some butterfly cakes.... it may take us a while
