Venus - how embarrasing - I missed your missage 'til now
But anyway - only one knee is nekkid - cos the other one has allways been nekkid - I just didn't mention it
Do you know what..........
No body but you noticed that!!!
I have to ask this!
~:*-Venus-*:~ Posted Dec 15, 2003
Aahh well thats cleared that up then
Soooo are they "nekkid" because you have holes in your trousers...or just coz you dan't wear any at all?
suddenly i get the feeling that maybe i should'nt be as asking....but i'm a nosey sort!!
I have to ask this!
Shhhhhh........due to circumstances and stuff - I think I'm back now! and a bit of front :-) Posted Dec 15, 2003
Oh no - I'm gonna have to explain!!
The point is that I had an operation on one knee earlier on - keyhole surgery to sort out a damaged catiledge . They did the repair but I had to wear bandages and support stuff for ages afterwards - there was me thinkin that 'cos it was key hole they wouldn't damage me much. WRONG! They still mess about inside too much.
Oddly enough the Queen had the same done a couple of days ago - bet she didn't get hers from playin cricket though!
I have to ask this!

((ouch!)) sounds painfull..hmmm i bet the queens keyhole surgery has'nt damaged her so much ...bet she don't have a "nekkid" knee either
I can't imagine her playing cricket somehow, but she can still mount a horse!
Are you still on crutches?
I have to ask this!
Shhhhhh........due to circumstances and stuff - I think I'm back now! and a bit of front :-) Posted Dec 15, 2003
No no - I'm jusdt hobblin occasionaly now - it wore off after a bit - she won't get a nekkid one for weeks yet!!
I have to ask this!
~:*-Venus-*:~ Posted Dec 15, 2003
So you walk with a "lisp" occasionally
Does this mean your'e able to play cricket again?....so you can do the other knee and have a matching pair!!
i should explain, i have a rather wicked sense of humour..gets me ie into trouble sometimes
I have to ask this!
Shhhhhh........due to circumstances and stuff - I think I'm back now! and a bit of front :-) Posted Dec 15, 2003
A hell of a lisp when I'm tired!!!
I suspect my cricketting career is finished now - tried to runh the other day - didn't go down well with me body!!
Keep with the sense of humour sweetie - it tends to shine above most things!
I have to ask this!
~:*-Venus-*:~ Posted Dec 16, 2003
Hey! i know that feeling, the minds willing but the body says "your having a laugh mate!"
Aaawww its a shame you can't play anymore.
Nows the time to think of pursuing a sport that does'nt involve running.
How about golf? you get to walk around huge big fields looking for your balls have a valid excuse to wear dodgy trousers and girlie jumpers!
Then theres Snooker, where you get to perform contortionist positions over a table, in an attempt to "pot" coloured balls with ya stick!
I can probably think of a few more, but i'll save them for another time
I have to ask this!
Shhhhhh........due to circumstances and stuff - I think I'm back now! and a bit of front :-) Posted Dec 16, 2003
Excuse me!! I wear dodgy trousers anyway! I think it's my duty to make sure nothing "fashionable" ever gets near my body.
Anyway with Gold you need to have been a batsman at cricket - I am / was a bowler - and all bowlers hate batsmen out of principle.
Snookers' out 'cos my knee won't contort
You'll have to keep thinking I reckon
I have to ask this!

Ok..i promise to stay well away from your body!!
hmmmmm hows your arms? any good for darts? You can vent your anger at darts, throwing pointy things at people you don't like...in picture form of course and it also gives you the opportunity to develop a large over-hanging belly, by drinking loads of
I suppose bowls is out of the question, unless you have a good "stoop" and are over 60 yrs old!
Funny i did'nt know Jimmy Tarbuck and Ronnie Corbett were "batsman"..mind you i did'nt always know they were comedians either
I have to ask this!

Hummmm Berr Belly indeed

Not really....its more of a "ooooh i like that" and "all i need now is a top to got with these trousers!"...so i guess its more of a "must have" victim!
I take it your not too keen on the darts idea.
How about Archery? Firing big pointy things, at great speed. The aim being to hit a big board and score points.
Audience participation could be another angle. "You stand there, and i'll try and miss you with me pointy thing!"
Oh and you have to wear the required 'uniform'. Tights (could be a minor hitch with the knee) Tunic top with skirt, and a funny hat! If 'Lincoln Green' is not your colour then there is a variation, but for that uniform you have to be able to 'yodel'

I've always wondered about the tights thing. Back then I'm sure that Marks and whatsits didn't get near Sherwood - so where did they get their tights from - unless in those days there was a mysterious shopping complex that has long since dissapeared.
Have to call Tony Robinson in and see if he can check eh!
I have to ask this!
~:*-Venus-*:~ Posted Dec 17, 2003
Its more like a "poetic licence" thing...i don't think men were allowed to show nekkid legs when they made the first Robin Hood films
Come to think of it did'nt blokes wear tights in elizabethan time aswell?
I have to ask this!
