my eyesight isnt to good for reading big guides, so if i have missed this, in the guide entry.

if not, in the birthday one, you could have a mention, that anyone born on feb 29th, a leap year, wont have a real birthday for four years, so children dont get a present for birthdays every year. jim

I wanted this to be a big collaborative entry, so I gave credit to everyone who mentioned something I used.

i was going to the cyber today, but something came up.
-
i was going to look into something i saw on discovery.a while back.
-
i think it was the first birthday, that a tribe,(name as slipped my mind)pierce the ears and hang heavy rings to them, of girls, and they fit three or four rings round their neck, and as if that wasnt enough, they split the lip, and stick a round peice of wood in the lip. and as they get older the ears, rings and lip gets bigger and bigger.
-
the other i was looking into would have been the red indian boy, at around 10, i think, who was given a bow and arrow, and sent on his own to hunt till the sun went down, if he caught something, he was a full warrior, if not, it was a disgrace of sorts, if his father was a honoured warrior.
-
i also think the red indian boy from the young age is given a pony, but about 14 or 15, he as to go and catch a wild horse, that will be his till it passes away. jim xx
