Well, sorry I missed your birthday 
But what I really popped by for was to say how impressed I was with your Entries on the Romans. I thought they were very well-written and enjoyable, and knowing how few comments Entries get once they're past the FP, I thought it would be nice to pop in and say so!

I'm sorry to say that it wasn't for academic or research purposes...
I was looking for links for my Seaton Entry, which has a Roman archaeological site on the outskirts. I found and started reading the 'Brief History', and sort of got sucked in
