I'm Subbing your brilliant entry on Ellen MacArthur, which seems to have zoomed through PR.

I'm certainly not intending making any major changes, apart from the occasional misplaced apostrophe, although I would ask about the spelling of "Threep'ny Bit". Are you sure that's correct, because it looks a bit odd to me?

I know it looks weird, but that's how it's spelt in her autobiography, so it must be right.

I always did have a problem with apostrophes.

Sorry to seem over-eager, but how's it coming along?

OK...I haven't changed too much, just tweaked bits and pieces so it's looking a bit more Edited Guide-ish. My copy's at A1043092 if you want to take a look.

However, my RL is very busy-going-on-hectic at the minute, so I don't have a lot of time to Sub anything.

You know the Coming Up list? Is that done in order i.e the entries at the bottom of the list are first in line to be put on the Front PAge or is it random?

I think it's more or less in that order, although the Editors obviously get final say on what goes on the Front Page. If there's, say, two sports entries in the bottom five, they generally won't put them up on the same day; they'd also try and synchronise any entries with events in the real world, so if someone had written an entry on the coronation of QEII, it would have been shoed in for Monday. OK?

I see, thanks. I just thought of something important which probably ought to go in the entry - Ellen is an MBE. Also, did I mention that she came second to Beckham in the BBC Sports Personality of the Year Contest? Can't believe I didn't put those in myself - sorry if this causes problems.

They're too late for me to put in - I sent the Entry back to the Editors last week. However, I'm sure Sam, Ashley or Jimster will be more than happy to make the necessary changes if you suggest them at <./>Feedback-Editorial</.>
