I think it is time I grew up.. newbie is now a little bit naff for me. I can't get away with things the way I used to!

I can now help others and if VV needs a hand ... I sometimes take someone under my wing. A few have remained with me too!!

Yes, even before I was officially an ACE, I had written a welcoming note ("welcome aboard & all that") to a young Aussie, who I still talk to.

I have been too much trouble to be an ACE! But I have been noted among my own group to be a listener and try to understand their problems!

Right, I try to be a good listener & if I can I'll offer advice.

Since I joined hootoo, I have looked after 4 lost souls for a time and one with some bad issues that still crowd him!

One frightened me with a threat on suicide.. but I called on a busy thread to keep an eye on me, while I talked! Two of them kept me calm and encouraged me.. until I could talk directly with the person involved. They then helped me to hide the thread!

I haven't been quite so involved, at least not in that sense, although I am doing some consoling & ...empathizing.

Yes I remember you consoled the following night... when I was upset and couldn't quite tell you why in case she followed me *holds you close*

And you looked after me well too! Then I had that blasted chest infection.. and you virtually nursed me through that too!

I was taking so long answering because a young friend needed help with an ican account. We managed between three of us!

Chris luv, I was writing out a consoling e-mail just now. But I had been offline earlier. This oversized armchair feels rather big & empty without you!

Now it certainly is luv! *pulls her close & deliver a couple es* Actually yes it's been a reasonably good day.

Feels very comfortable in the big armchair and snuggles in
