Just thought I'd drop by here and say hi too.
So, how long have you been up in Alberta? And what were your thoughts on the Lone Star state?

Good of you to pop in! Actually, born & raised here. Liked Texas, had a cousin living there (in Irving) while he trained in Cardiology....too mercilessly hot in the summer though...actually started sucking ice cubes for some internal cooling.

Summer and I get along well enough, actually. I was the cold and snow of: Montana, Minesota, Colorado, Wyoming and Utah that got to be too much for me. Irving isn't so far away, really. Nor is the Gulf, which I plan on visiting this summer.
A native Albertan, eh? Very kewl. I was only there the one time, but I remember being quite taken in general. Although Alberta is known neither for its curry, nor its jazz. Obviously you have far reaching interests as well.

Well, I joke that I must've been a Hindu or Punjab or something in a past life. When were you here? Have a great little Jazz & Blues club very neearby, actually 2 Blues clubs.

Its been years. Literally. About 15, actually, since my last visit. I may have to visit again, though, since it sounds as if there are some beautiful clubs now.
Ah, so another former Thuggite, eh? I make a mean curry, myself. Vindaloo is one of my favorites, but I'm working on tandoori right now.

I'm on a bit of a hiatus from Indian cooking...only temporary, but I've got a really great East Indian restaurant nearby too.

Of course it all depends what else your workout includes? And how much you...uh, indulge.

Well, tomorrow, I've got yoga at noon, then probably about 30 minutes on the treadmill - 30 minutes now that is - and I'll finish up with about 45 minutes of strength training. Think that would cover it?

I suppose...do you need to lose any weight (man, that sounds personal) or are you in good shape? I'm assuming the latter.

I'm actually in the process of losing weight, but I'm not in bad shape. (Ha! Dodged the personal question with the grace of a watersoaked brick! )
