h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

I feel so I went and ?ed an Ace a ? I figured out on my own I`d to remove said <silly? ? from the Ace`s site but don`t quite know how to . I believe a computer-wizard from New Zealand has taken pity on my lack of knowledge of pasting -there`s basic simple instructions at my space(not that I`ve tried it yet)I`m somewhat fearless in talking to people but still in no way trust the computer as a safe medium to use when it comes to actually using it to do usefull stuff. It`s been a good 6 yrs.since I read the HHG collection,so I`m hopeless at terminology!

I had left the computer on, while I fixec, & ate supper, just now, but I'm here for now...hoping to watch King Of Queens, & a few other sitcoms, tonight. Thanks for the tip on the 'paste' process. I actually did manage it once, a good friend on AOL had talked me through it (of course, that was while my AIM connection was working ). I'd tried it once, on my own, recently, & only got so far - I just said 'ok, obviously, its not time, yet...it'll come...eventually'.

Indeed,he`s from New Zealand,does tech support,& is thinking about writing an illustrated guide to help"we who don`t quite know what to make of a computer". Have you heard of James Burke??? It appears that (JB)would be a legit addition to the guide. Gosh,I`d just footnote all the connections programmes to start. It appears that Douglas Adams had appeared to announce the guide on JB`s old show.JB had left years earlier...It`s good to know NZ gets/got it oh, Gary doesn`t get h2g2 at all! Asked me what I hoped to accomplish on this site- I said I longed for a fish swimming underneath my nickname...

Well, some people 'just don't get it', or something! The fish would be ok...I'd like a musical note, or two, to go weaving around the margin (or, under my name, I'm not fussy.)

You`re so right Owlatron gave me that site & another to check out. Maybe Apparition will come up with charts,pictures,visual aids of all sorts to painlessly transfer thos ideas directly into our heads !

Wow-I just tryed to go to a site owlatron suggested to go to after looking at the explanation for guide language-& not only coulbn`t get the page,but got kicked offline-what a shock! I got 1of the kids to get me back,because until some mysterious combination of going to my upper section & double-clicking my Aol setting to my beloved h2g2& no doubt there was more clicking involved too. So It`s good not to rush to tech sites-if I`d gotten kicked out when I landed yesterday,I`d have been a bit discouraged.It`s the 2 site he recommended in his hi there letter.Wait,Itryed to go to his site to tell him the news-that`s when a remote server denied me connection&I got booted out. ;-(

You've gotta wonder, sometimes, when you get booted off, or whatever...it doesn't happen to me quite as often as it used to, but, it still happens .
