Hi Snailrind! Well actually I've been having problems with the site for years now. I joined before the site was taken over by the BBC! Back in the old days I could even speak my own language here, which is Afrikaans. But anyways I've remained so far even though I've been sort of dormant lately. I still think this site has a heck of a potential but maybe I should also join some other place with less restrictions, *also*.

In the old days, h2g2 was a much weirder, more chaotic, more colourful place.

I have to tell you, Abbi, that you were among the first people to make me feel welcome on h2g2 when I first arrived in '02. I consider myself blessed to count you among my friends, and could never give up h2g2 completely as long as I know you (and a few other dear ones) are around, no matter how busy or exhausting life has become and how little time we find to spend online.

I especially value your insights: you are a woman of few words and this has made you succinct, blunt, and extremely honest. All things I appreciate.

Abbi I am glad to hear you are stubborn! Its a quality I admire a lot, my mum by marriage is very stubborn and that helped her beat a very serious illness. So keep up the stubbornness and the hope!
