Hubby and I have a king size bed so we now have our own blankets and that has solved my problem. He used to throw them on the floor in his sleep I hated getting up in the cold dark night to look for them!
He sleeps with a fan and the window open. Normally the window *almost closes , his airconditioner in his truck is off the same week I pull out the electric blanket for my side of the bed. It is the sure sign around our house that winter is comingGlad it has not happened yet.

We're still unseasonably warm here in Chicago- today and tomorrow we're supposed to be in the upper 80s- but we did have one nice chilly night last week, K and I were finally able to open the windows and get the temperature in the apartment to around 65.
I will sleep with windows open until we start seeing *highs* in the lower 50s or upper 40s. You have no idea how grateful I am that K likes to keep things on the cooler side as well. My old roommate and I would argue about it- he'd wear his parka around the house when I had the thermostat set to around 62, and I'd be in a tank top and shorts.

Hi, Abbi, we are -5ยบ in the middle of the UK and have been for the last few days. It is freezing cold, and a big shock after a long spell of mild weather.
We argue over - heating up or down, windows open or shut, sweaters on or off, open fire lit or not! It drives me crazy. I am sitting in a freezing room as I type 'cus he turned the heater off over night and it hasn't warmed up since.
The computer froze this morning it was so cold.
The thing is, I can't figure out whether he wants warm or cold - it just seems to be the opposite of me every time It is a power struggle in both senses of the word
Then of course there is: the TV's too loud, too quiet: the radio station is the wrong one, and he is a compulsive channel changer on both the TV and radio.
Thanks for giving me a chance to let off it has been bugging the out of me all day.
I am glad you are sorted though . Enjoy the nice weather while it lasts.

Websailor, i sympathise totally with all that! Here it's bloody cold suddenly & adjustments have to be made. He started off by saying "You must economise; only turn minimum heating on in living room, cool bedrooms are good."
then he asked for a pullover
then extra socks
then a scarf
then started to look a little around the edges
then referred to the bedroom as "Your fridge" "I go try to die tonight in your fridge, talk to the butcher, this is good frozen meat"
Yup, Yoda slithers under the covers very quickly, she is a lovely snuggly hot water bottle. We now have winter duvet plus tiger skin (FAKE!) & sleep in full clothing & it's only November; but since i am still paying last years winter electric bill, this is the only way.
