jedi female apprentice: there will still be a minimum charge to use Yoome2... the lowest being chat-lite...

but it will be free for a month once Yoome2 has started... so you will have time to see if you want to stay at the minimum rate or not...

i will stay on chat-lite so that i can carry-on mentioning h2g2 at any opportunity... and as there will still be private messaging EVEN in chat-lite, well bob is my uncle!!!!...

but no games for me either... hehe...

Emmily ~ Roses are red, Peas are green, My face is a laugh, But yours is a scream

i don't know of any1 who is staying with yoome2..i think they got a damn cheek charging even a nominal amount..well..at least u won't have any probs..with so few ppl using it..although..i suppose if i didn't have the pc..&..only had the digibox..i'd probably pay to stay on..
If u've ever used LD using 'back door'(which is now just a 'letter box' size) when hardly any1 was able to log on..u'll know how quick that was..it was brilliant..no bootings..ah bliss..smiley - smiley..i suppose yoome2'll be like that..less users..less probs..good luck to those that are staying..smiley - biggrin..

If u want to find any1 on h2g2..u can click 'search' with search engine blank..if ur in alabaster skin..u go down page til u come to 'search for a friend' type details in then click search..If your in brunel..your have a list of options..click search for a friend..type in friends name..(doesn't need to be whole name..if it's long..can find my name..with just emmily)..they click 'go'(i think,i don't use brunel)..

Hi Em,

Thanks for that,I've also been checking on the "who's online" bit.

smiley - laugh

As for youme2 I think that quite a few will stay for the free bit and then say bye-bye although quite a few have gone off already.

have fun

emmily: have you tried searching for steve?!... hehe...

but the dead poet one might have changed his nickname too... might be worth typing in the search for entries and see if it appears in an introduction... [i should have been a detective me... really...smiley - laugh]

as for staying in yoome2 i will make sure that the few users left there learn about here... hehe... the peeps i have been talking in RL think that h2g2 is a great idea as it encourages peeps' creativity, expression etc...
and of course the community artists thingy is another great project...

a PC has to be the next logical step after a while on here... even so we have found another [brilliant] way to push the digibox to its limits i'm starting to feel its limitations... there are so many things i could do in a few hours through a pc... but can only achieve after days of tenious work through the digibox...smiley - cry

soon hopefully the day will come...

I think I did that before I even got in here.So I didn't know then what I know now.

Oh well, never mind.If it comes the day when I can't access here with a digibox I shall just come in a different way and put a few links in.

I found "A" Deadpoet but weather he's the same one I don't know.I have left him a message just in case.
Have fun

that seems to be close enough... if it's not him he might have noticed someone else with a similar name...

i don't use the "remember me" thingy anymore... don't even need it... hehe...

have you tried loggin out after using the digibox... it might help...

talk later...

Pally: You have to use the original name you first entered h2g2 with, where it asks for username. It shouldn't matter whether you have the always remember me ticked or logging outsmiley - smiley

Mustang Sally: I had this problem, cos I've just had the upgrade too, I've got a h2g2 link that does work(even with the upgrade), so if you contact me in ld I'll fwd it onsmiley - smiley

mmmmmm.... nothing much to add to all that... except that it's always a good idea to have a magic email in all the boxes... "stored", "draft", etc. and if possible do the same in all your TV email addies...smiley - whistle

oh and in case of blue messages attack use the yellow key instead of the "ok" one...

that has helped me a few times accessing my emails in times of needs... hehe...
