Going home

One of my dreams has always been to go to Ireland one day, stay there for a while, work in a hostel (I just love these friendly places with people from all over the world you would never have met in your "normal life") and just enjoy life by following my heart. Whenever I had been to Ireland on vacation I found it rather difficult to readapt to my life back in Germany, so that for the last couple of years I would actually spend my holidays elsewhere to not go through that pain. But New Years Eve 2001 I had the idea to go to Belfast and there I decided to give it a try and live my dreams. Back at work I quit my job and then left early April -
The sun has been shining for me all the time, I found a job in the very first hostel I staid at, met beautiful people and have relaxed so much I could not imagine it possible beforehand. Met a man as well, a German of all people, who turned out to be more than just interesting.

My other dream in life -- it may sound modest, 2 dreams only, which I am certainly not -- my other dream from when I was 17 on was to have a baby. It has never worked out, though my last 2 boyfriends and myself "tried" to, but no luck. We are talking about the past 4 years, so I really had some sad moments on that matter.

After 6 months in Ireland I'll go back to Germany now by the end of September, all happy, that I had the enthusiasm and maybe even the courage to step out of my former life, my job and all these security aspects that are very important for Germans in general. The guy I met and myself want to live together to see if we are compatible, it feels right anyway. And as we'll be having a baby some time around the end of March 2003, we are determined to make it work.

Sounds like a fairy tale, doesn't it?
