Did you keep up with PROD as it went? I learned a lot from PROD.
You can't accomplish much by arguing. Write, demonstrate, show, do. It's more fun anyway.

I know I read it, but I tried to read all the other UG stuff, too, so it's all a bit blurry in my memory.

I've had my learning curve about arguing (that wasn't to do with the EG, or UG), and now, I just avoid the person who managed to make me forget myself. I unsubscribe form threads where they are posting, or ignore them if it's not feasible to unsubscribe.

I don't mind arguing in RL. It's easier to show that you're being sincere, earnest and non-aggressive in person, I think. It seems that no matter how many smileys I use here when I try to make a point, I make some people angry.

PROD shows that if you want to make a point, you should do it on your own terms, and memorably if possible. If you have a free moment, A4053412 is always an invigorating read.

Yes, I have read it - at least twice. I'm currently not too interested in the EG, though, so I won't break an arm and a leg to try to improve it. I'm tired of all the arguments, the ad nausea repetition of what everybody thinks is the best for the EG.
I like the idea of the city with all its buildings.

Oh, it has edited status alright, it's just that I couldn't leave a comment earlier. Shame I didn't find out when the eds were still in the office. I wonder how many people tried and failed to post.

I know... it just seems so resistant to all attempts to tame it.

My entries don't tend to attract a lot of comments, so it doesn't bother me. Thanks for seeking me out though.

There generally don't seem to be many entries which attract comments, not just yours. I have to admit that I don't comment nearly as often as I should. That's mainly because I've already commented on those I like in PR, but it's not right.
