Do you read the Washington Post? Just in case you don't, thought you would enjoy this. It's the second article.

Oh goodness, the Reform Ohio Now initiatives are the most important thing coming up next week in the entire country.
It's an interesting time to be an Ohio progressive, to say the least

At least your vote actually means something. Unlike mine.
By the way.....do you think we should encourage everyone in our administration to have Ozarkian names? Yours would be the easiest. I don't lnow what mine would be, although we could always mispell it.
My book club meets tonight and I am trying to find an excuse not to go. Got one?

My nickname's set thanks
Missouri's becoming more interesting all the time. You've got one of your Congressmen as the Majority Leader in the House, and an interesting Senate race coming up
Excuse? You haven't read the book.

But it would be such a good nickname. Aren't you even curious?
But I have read trhe book. ,sigh>
Blunt is from my district. But we aren't close personal friends.

Nope, not one bit. I'm sure you'll tell me though.
Still, you can claim you haven't. What book is it?
Is Blunt just from your district or is he representing you? My Representative is some idiot who replaced a truly great Democratic man that everybody loved. I'd have to check, but I don't think that I have anyone but a Republican representative for me in *any* level of government. Prez, VP, both Senators, my Rep, Guv, State Senator, Mayor (I think. Not really a nationally political office.) The only one I don't know who is, to my eternal shame, is my state Assemblyman

That's why I phrased it like that. He doesn't represent my views or give a rip about the things I am concerned about. So, I consider him "from my dostrict".
Same here. Almost every elected official from President to my city councilmen are Republicans.
The Da Vinci Code. See why I don't want to go? They won't want to talk about the book at all - whether it is well written, the characters, the plotting, the pace, etc. They'll just all talk about the stupid controversy and whether it is true or not.
But it's better than last month, when they did a chick book. I really hate those.

Is your district gerrymandered all to hell? Mine's most of my county and then as much rural land as they could pile in, but part of the eighth district snakes in there.
Hopefully issue 4 will pass and fix all that, but it doesn't really seem likely to pass (despite my best efforts ).
The sad thing is if you lived in the mecca of liberalism, NYC, you'd still have a Republican mayor and governor.
You hate chicks? And you scolded someone about duck abuse...

The Da Vinci Code, yeah. I don't plan to read it. Ever. It's been talked to death.
Plus I prefer non-fiction.

Chic books - books for ladies - romances - fluff. I resent killing trees to print the stuff.
It was fairly dreadful. I told them it was a novel - fiction - as in NOT TRUE. but I know a few of gthem don't believe me.

People, pah.
I don't believe most of what you say most of the time, but this I'd believe. You should propose they read Harry Potter and go in next month pretending you believe it's real

I am crushed that you doubt my veracity. When have I ever not been truthful with you? Okay. Maybe about the pet elk. But you must admit it makes a good story.

I hear it isn't going too well election wise.
