I'm not sure what you're asking. Are you wanting people who became wealthy after being born in poverty? The Great Americans bit threw me. Carnegie, for example, wasn't born in the US. Nor was he a great American just because he endowed libraries. One good act doesn't wipe out a lifetime of bad ones.
Lincoln doesn't seem to fit with Rockerfeller or Carnegie. And Hamilton, who is one of my all-time favorites, doesn't fit with either group.
So, please be more specific. I'll try to help as much as I can.

You might mention the Horatio Alger stories in your article. They would fit right in with your topic.
