Where'd they go?
Hypatia Started conversation Oct 22, 2005
Ok. This may have been discussed and I just missed it. But what happened to all of our old conversations? I waas looking for a particular one and was going through my "older conversations" only to discover that I don't go back any farther than September. So I went to your list - since you never delete anything - and you only go back 2 weeks. We must be limited to a certain number of pages.
Where'd they go?

Yup, 200 conversations. I think it's a temporary thing to save bandwidth or something. Jim Lynn said something about this earlier.
Sucks, don't it?
Where'd they go?
Hypatia Posted Oct 22, 2005
I go months without ever checking the old ones, so I didn't have a clue when it happened.

I suppose it makes sense, though. I'd rahter lose really old convos than have th esite wonky all the time. If it's going to be permanent, I'll be sure and save any conversations I really want elsewhere.

I don't think it'll be permanent. I could find you the conversation where Jim Lynn explained this, but... well, conversations tend to slip off the 200 thread cliff quite easily in my MP list

Since you subscribe to practically everything posted and then refuse to unsubscribe, I'm surprised you have even two weeks worth.
Where'd they go?
J Posted Oct 22, 2005
It doesn't bother me to be subscribed to everything What really bothers me if the thought that *shiver* something, somewhere might be going on that I don't know about.
How do you like my new anagram, by the way?
Where'd they go?
J Posted Oct 22, 2005
Well, mine is my nickname and last name (and, actually, my email address ). You can add to it, I reckon. President Hypatia, for instance.

Hypatia Posted Oct 22, 2005
If I add President I get "depart any hip site". What do you think?

V's are hard to work into anagrams.

J Posted Oct 22, 2005
Hey now, that's not a bad idea
Vice President, Sheep Czar and Ohio Pooh-Bah, Jodan. I could really do some anagramming with that.

Hey Hyp, can you help me out?
I'm formulating an idea for an epic possible EG entry on Turdblossoms (not decided if I'm going to submit it or just let it float or delete it if it gets unruly). Other than Rockefeller (an Ohioan, by the way), Carnegie, Lincoln and Hamilton, can you name some great Americans who rose to greatness after having been born in turd?
I'm having a bit of a historical block. I can only remember wars right now Typical male, I know...
