Greeting and welcome
Thank you for stopping by. Though young I felt it would be important to get my hands wet and introduce myself to a community of travelers. I hope to join your ranks very soon. It has long been my want and desire to travel. I want to see the world before I live, not before I die. I am gathering together confidants with whom I will begin this journey, which I am currently scheduling for October 2005. I am completely green to hitchhiking and travel, at least at a grand scale, but I will not be deterred. My course is set and my plans are made. I do not ask anyone to persuade me from this course though I would like guidance. And where else should a traveler turn but to the Hitchhiker’s Guide?

P.S. I meant what I said and I say what I mean. I wish to get my hands wet. Not my feet. It is foolhardy to tread unknown water. Without a hand, I may have difficulty tying my shoes and may stumble. Without a foot, I would be unable to walk.
