Tilly - back in mauve

Welcome! smiley - bigeyes I'm an ACE, which is a really cool shortening for Assistant Community Editor, which doesn't sound just as cool, more like the over-exaggerated title of an office rat who no one are sure why's sitting there, but they don't have the heart to ask her in case she doesn't quite know herself smiley - erm But don't worry, I'm not a wrinkly, senile old lady with horn glasses sitting in a grey office, I'm actually an eccentric 15 year-old girl sitting in a white livingroom in almost, but not quite, in the middle of Norway smiley - tongueout

And I haven't ACEd anyone in a while, so I may be a bit rusty, but don't worry, any loss of limbs will hopefully be accounted for in the end of the journey smiley - bigeyes The last person I ACEd was actually an appearant friend of yours, a certain miss Natalie, known as Researcher Gone Wrong. Yeah, it was her idea that I should ACE you too, but don't worry, they say I'm good.

Well, there's lots of things to do here on h2g2, but pick up an early tips: Socialize. It's lot more fun when you got someone to talk to smiley - smiley You may also know we call a certain parts of h2g2 'The Guide', because it's exactly what it is. A guide, with entries written by your everyday people. Look at me, I wrote about Calligraphy and Norwegian students. Before that I didn't even know I knew so much about Norwegian students even smiley - tongueout

Well, it's much more fun doscovering things little by little, so if you want to have something to start out with, take a look at my site (click on the name) and/or take a look at the bar on the left side of the screen.

So, want to tell something about yourself? What music do you like? Do you read any good books? Do you like murderous hamsters and such? smiley - biggrin

Well, have fun, and if you wonder about something or just want to talk... Just say so smiley - smiley

Uhmm Howdy to you Missus Ace lady.

Cheers muchly for ACEing me because I don't have a clue what goes on here y'see. Well, I don't have a clue about anything, generally, but oh well.

Theres not much on my site now because I don't really have anything to write about *sigh in piteous self indulgence*

Uhmm well I like so so so much music. so so much. I play Guitar too. And uhm Piano. and the Triangle. Sometimes. I like Alt-rock, Blues, Psychedelica, Classical, and well uhmmm anything apart from Metal and Stuff that means nothing. In music, anyway........................ .

Urmm I don't read a qide variety of stuff. I stick to Philosophy, Psychology, Pscyhoanalysis, Poetry and Biographies. I read a LOT of Nietzsche and a little bit of Sartre. I read a LOT of Freud and a little bit of Jung. And well some other things too.

As for murderous hamsters, I can only fear they will not find my lead-enforced cave, into which they may not enter. Unless by now they have evolved anti-lead teeth that will allow them to infiltrate. *shudder*

Mmmmmmmmmmmaybe I'd better write a tad about myself.

I have two eyes and ten toes. I have glasses, long brown hair with a bit of blond in, Oddly, and uhmmmm I like to dress as id its the 60's still. Sometimes, If i can be bothered.

I play guitar a LOT and write songs. I have 44 complete songs at the moment and about 70 unfinished ones. Having that many can only mean that they aren't good. At all. Urmmmm I'm in the middle of recording them to to relaese some sort of crude demo tape to showcase my efforts that have been in vain. Until then.

Oh Well.....Did i do good?

Oh, you did exellent smiley - smiley Oh, and you can call me Tilly (although that must be the first time anyone calls me 'lady' smiley - blush)

I never could get the hang of guitar myself, so now I live by the rule; If it isn't of metal, with detachable parts and ends with "-umpet" I can't play it smiley - biggrin That's right, I play the trumpet in a Rock/Blues/Everything band called 'Drownin' Ducks'. We have written two songs ourselves and had about 5 performances. The rest have just consisted of fooling around, stealing other people's songs without paying royalties and having fun making an image smiley - erm Keep a lookout for us in a bad record shop near you.

As for music generally, I accept anything with a nice melody. But I will ban anything that reminds me the least bit of Techno and the like smiley - yuk

Oh, I read quite a lot, except now it's too hot for the heavier stuff (Too hot in Norway! It's a miracle!) Now I only close the door of my room and let myself sink into the paranoid, guiltridden world of E.A. Poe smiley - blackcat I read classics generally. Oscar Wilde and Victor Hugo are particular favourites. And I love Douglas Adams' novels, which is the underlying reason why I joined here in the first place... But h2g2 is so much more too! smiley - smiley

If you want a nice starting point, Shea has made a rather nice list of links to check out here: A534953
And if all else fails, a nice place to start getting social is here:

Well, toodles for now smiley - ok

Well, I gotta stop before I start ranting smiley - smiley Very nice introduction, as I said.
