Vinyl is nasty. PVC/latex is nice on the right shaped person. I don't really like that stuff. Although it's nice for costume!!!

Oh, you would love it. Nice scenery combined with a decent nightlife. Lots of variety- Jazz, Asian, Rock, clubs. Niiiice.

And the idea that my accent is considered *cool* over on the great landmass that is Canada/US, isn't one of the main reasons...not at all...

You'd be the centre of attention. Not that accents are rare here, I just like the southern English variety and know others do. I keep imagining picking you up at the airport and delivering you to a big hotel downtown!
