Hi Apollyon... Magician's Guild: sidequest?
Thorn Started conversation Jan 7, 2006
Hey, I was wondering, if you already have a "The Caves of Steel
" for the realm of the dead... can just outside it aways be where the Steely ironwood trees are... unless there is already a metalforest thread somewhere else? I was just thinkin',- Y'know.

That's supposed to be a demon (of sorts).

The Caves of Steel are in the Realm of the Dead. They can't be reached from any real world.
I originally set them up for a different subplot, ages ago, but that one didn't go anywhere...
Still, there's no reason we couldn't ressurrect them. Any ideas?

Hmm... *pauses to think*
Well, maybe necromancers can make/create portals between the land of the living and the realm of the dead, right?
My NPC Arc the wielder is Ecg's counterpart. Ecg and Arc Unagi are a spoof of sorceror brothers Ed and Al Elric in the anime Fullmetal Alchemist (with a twist). see http://fullmetalalchemist.com if you are unaquainted w/this 'recent' "otaku craze." Ecg is just sort of your quirky part demon/gritty fighter ronin stereotype-archetype... sort of a fusion of two such said 'stereo-archetypes'. I picture/envision some sort of fighting the ancestral spirits kind of strength/power test, kind of like a character in Dragonball Z might do...
What do you think?

Looks good. So I guess Arc will ask about it in the future or something.

Thankyou. Yes, I was going to have the last demon scroll be hidden somewhere within Hell also. Make sense to put like with like, eh?
He will.
I guess that makes four or five (depending on whether or not there ought to be another one hidden within part of the Guild building itself) :
1. The one tat Ecg inherited.
2. The , Christmas/Winter Solstice
3. That one that yours apparently has
and
4. The one that is still within Hell.
This may prove to be quite fun.

Backlog(?) : You see, I have it that the Alchemical accident was ... really trying to change lead to gold. Arc has his soul residing in the armor as a temporary holding shell... since it flung his physical body into the realm of the dead (even though "he is not"). Sortof like a "Dead Zone."
The catch to this, is that it will take more than just the two brothers Unagi to get Arc his body back to rights... They will probably need exorcism help from a necromancer. Since it has been drifting about in that realm... for several,- , I mean a very long time.
How does that sound?

: Whoa! that's very indeed.
(then as me again) : Yep,... or so methinks.
Also, probably need help with the "portal" or some pendent/talisman thingy to be able to move around back and forth in there, while still alive yes? <-since that's another thing it'd most likely be very difficult/nae impossible to do without a necromancer around. It's your call really.
... is-fun...

Hey! Don't forget you'd said you would help my character to be sort of like an "underworld Guide."
So that he could help his brother Arc to find his missing (and presumed to be demonically possessed) body and stuff...

Yes, don't worry, we'll get around to it...just as soon as an apocalypse is averted.

I wish there was some sort of a semi-'bogus' one specific item sort of a chase-down of some type of an item I could have Ecg go do... (to get out from [being] in everyone else's "hair") .

*Mocks himself*
Apollyon (*whine*), nobody else wishes/wants to post with me... and I really ought to go stiketh-my head-in-a-bucket!! No really.
*Makes some Darth Vader noises about it*
"..."
Actually that part I was kidding.
*Gives himself a metered dose of self pity (in an attempt to feel slightly better about it, perhaps)*
*snifle*
Because apparently I'm just this *Stupid-stupid* dunderhead and whom nobody else can really seem to be bothered!
*Places his own *
Whatever...
