I just re-read the ban christmas thread, in my first late-night-drunken hootoo safari, and I noticed you quoted me and I just skipped topic straight after.

What's Burns night? I know about neeps and tatties cos' my dad was a mackem but I've not heard of Burns. You were referencing a poet?

Robbie Burns - the poet - is celebrated in Scotland on January 25th. The haggis is piped into the room and carved while Burns salute to "Yon chieften o' the pudden race' is read out.
Everyone wears kilts and swigs whiskey until its coming out their ears. (Except me ~ I don't like whiskey.)
