I thought I´d wander over and wave a at you...

Did I read your PS right? Are you studying at OU? And if so, might I ask what?

Thing is, I´m doing a similar thing, and I just like to know there are more out there...
I´ve had no contact with anyone from my Uni, or dept or anything, so that´s that explained, bleedin obvious really.

Anyhow.

I'm doing Environmental Decision Making - a post-grad diploma. And I'm supposed to be writing an assignment as I type - due in on Friday, erk! And have I actually started it yet? No. It's midday 2 days before submission and I've done b. all. Fortunately my tutor is allowing me to e-mail it to him and put the original in the post. There is an on-line submission system but for some reason he doesn't like it!

I find the lack of contact with other students a bit strange, being used to studying alongside other people and getting real time feedback on discussions that the e-conferences don't give. And not all courses offer the same kind of on-line contact as the Technical faculty ones that I've done. The last one I did was a social sciences one and they seem to be in the dark ages as far as on-line conferences and the like are concerned

And I'm finding the self-discipline needed to get on with it problematic as you can see!

So what are you studying?

I´ve just started a BA in English Literature at London U. They have an external program that was started in something like 1887 or so, so they´ve got plenty of experience.

My thing is entirely external and I´ve had no contact with anyone at all, which is sort of odd, but I sort of like it. I don´t have to do any papers yet, just show up for the exams and pass... (yeah, right!)

I´ve no idea what I´m doing, and no idea why I didn´t do it sooner...
I´m having tremendous fun and since this ties nicely in with my subbing here, I think I´ll try and head more in that direction...

Well, I´ve just got back from Blighty
It was very nice - we got spoiled rotten as usual + there´s nothing as much fun as spending hundreds of pounds on books, even if they are school books

I think the assignment is still going.

There has been no sighting of Narapoia for almost two days.

Impressive, isn't it?

And you won't be seeing her much for a lot longer, especially if she keeps getting distracted like this and gets even further behind!!

Actually I was just checking, but of course you can't do things like unsubscribing to conversations without logging on and, well one thing leads to another...

I finished the assignment, but I'm rather behind with the reading etc for the next one (due 25th July), hence why I'm in purdah. Or not.
