Sorry, Hello Vicki Virago. Nice to meet you , and nice page. I am into bikes myself, grew up in a motorcycle repair shop(my uncle owned). I had a really nice YAMAHA RD350LC, that I raced a few times.

a 350LC? Looney bike! Esp in race trim, nowt like a powerband 500 revs wide smiley - winkeye Expansion pipe and clip ons as well by any chance?

Still, all those 2 stroke oil fumes might explain a few things smiley - winkeye

eh? what? I was enthusing about 350LCs and the renowned effect of 2 Stroke oil killing off brain cells! Them bikes were the nutter boy racer bikes of their time.

They still are nutty, I bored mine to 405cc, Tooney pipes, Boysen reeds. Stripped all the extra weight(center-stand,chrome rails, etc.)
Dry weight under 200lbs, with almost 100hp. It was to crazy for me, so I had to sell it.

sounds like you did it proper then smiley - smiley

Course these days they spoilt by having tyres that actually provide some grip. For the authentic feel you really have to have a set of Avon Skidmasters on!

It was alot of fun eating 750 inteceptors, but could not take CB1000's, if they had a proper swing-arm put on them. The factory one is a bit light(wobbly?) smiley - cheers
(I can talk bikes all day, my uncle had a bike shop when I was younger.)

I dunno, the swing arm on mine is meaty enough, but a braced JMC would not go amiss smiley - smiley The thing about LCs though is lightness (as you know!) and throwing a 3.5ton cb1000 round B-Road corners, whilst fun!, is more akin to a major workout session at the local gym than racing. 'slike those bonkers RGV250 Gamma things that can show a clean pair of heels to just about anything on the twisties.

Me could talk bikes all day to, but I'm afraid I don;t have a good excuse like you smiley - smiley
