h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Yes thats right, I decided to do a real update about my actual life here on h2g2 rather than my usual livejournal. Mostly as I can, and a few people seem to still read this page rather than look at the horrors of a completely different free account provided by a completely different free service. Anyway my life:
I am again unemployed after brief bursts of employment at a data-entry job with converga who fired me for no terribly good reason (I could go on about that for hours) and then at ALIA for 5 days casual and then DCITIA library for a whole month and three days in which I was paid a decent enough salary to keep me happily unemployed for a short while, I am now waiting for my tax return before finally and annoyingly having to return to center-link as I really don't want to have to register a $1000 check (yes thats how much tax I am getting back this year) as payment as they will take me off center-link for a week or too to make sure I am not employed while on the dole.

I am almost engaged to my girlfriend of 7 months and 1 week and 2 days, yes I know thats weird knowing how long exactly, but I have a ticker from ticker dot com counting it for me, I am not keeping a count of every single day here. We have ordered the ring from a ring maker and now all I have to do is propose once the ring actually arrives. I have sworn a oath to keep stum on all plans thereof for the next while so we don't get problems with people knowing too much about the big thing.

Other stuff? Well I am working on a entry here at h2g2 and a few other project around the place but nothing big for now while I still don't have a job. I also have to get my molars removed as of course they decided to try coming through wonky and have now impacted.

And thats about all...

7 months? Wow, that's pretty quick work, nice one and take care.

Wait a second. "We" ordered? You mean she's in on this even before the actual proposal?

Yeah its customary to get the ring she likes for what she shall be waring for the rest of her life and all...

So its not supposed to be a surprise then? The asking is a ritual so she has a nice story to tell?

Well she was kindof with me when I was rung up to tell me the ring was ready so we went to get it and I proposed afterwards with me song! :D
