h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Hallo there, have found you at last hehe have been trying to figure out how to use this thing, and am finally getting there. Used to be on LD but only in messaging, so you won't know me. And am very new to this so this is first you'll have heard of me. Am very good friends with and live just down the road from Lif and Mystikal Angel, so blame them for me being here hehe

Have heard you are one of the people to speak to in times of H2G2 need. Got a couple of questions:

Do people have to visit my personal space to see any new things have written? And if so, if they don't know about me, why would they go to my personal space?

Also, how come when I go to the front page, I can't access any of the guide? You know, the big list where it says 'Life and everything' or something like that. When I click on it, it takes me to a little menu stating how many members there are under each category and when I click on one it takes me straight back to the front page. Is it because am a Digibox user? If so, that means I can't access what appears to be the whole point of this site hehe Got into Talking Point with no probs, just can't select any categories.

Yep, here I am... Unfortunately, I'm not <./>online</.> as much as I used to be... but, that's something which should be rectified soon ...

Hmmmm... We haven't looked into what the machine can [or can't] access for a while due to some err unfortunate events which happened in February... Though I do remember that I had some problems accessing the "... and everything" categories before...

But, like for many things related to the digibox, there are other ways to get those infos... I will have to dig a bit to find that one though... I will look for some links that the digibox can access regarding the Edited Guide and will post them later... No problem...

Until then, the search facility would be one way of finding out those Edited Entries which deal with the subjects/themes you're interested in...
Worth a try...

Of course, there are also many other entries/articles which, though not in the Edited Guide, are very interesting... There are part of the "alternative" side of the Guide...
<./>ThePost</.> is a good place to find some of them... And of course the UnderGuide... There are some links on the Writing-Alternative page...

Any new entry you write will show for a little while on the <./>info</.> page and, sometimes, on the <./>FrontPage</.> under the "new contributions" heading... So that's a start...

I will add your name to the list as soon as possible...

Hi...

I popped in because I couldn't do a thing this afternoon... My PC kept beeping at me... It seems to do that if I leave it on too long [according to my PC of course]...So, as I was too tired to cope with the incessant noise, I just gave up and watched some TV instead...

As for writing Guide entries, yeah it can be a bit daunting [I hope that's the right word]... but, there is no rules against doing some collaborative ones... That's how I've got my name on an Edited one last month... I contributed to some of it and someone else went through the Peer Review process...

What kind of stuff are you interested in?!... That's the first step... Then, the second step is to find someone also interested in it and willing to do a collaborative entry...

Gonna try to do a bit of ACEing before the darn computer starts beeping again and wakes everyone up...
