Help a little old lady will you ?
I'm rather keen on the idea of using a digibox so I can appreciate the problems better, now I've got Sky digital, is it possible to connect through that? & how?
(not a bribe you understand)

Hi Granny,
The best way to check if you can use h2g2 through your Sky box is to copy and paste this:
h2g2
And send it to your Sky email address and click on the link from there.
But be warned Sky charge a connection rate of 12.5p per minute. Most digibox users use TeleWest cable with a free always on return path.

I didn't really have anything to add to what he said apart that [if Sky got firewalls up like Telewest] as long as there is a BBC TVinteractive site you should be able to access h2g2 [and other DNA or/and BBCi sites] through your email...

One advantage of the digibox [which by the way could be an alternative for PC users when/if their computer is (God forbid of course) temporary out of action] is that we can surf/lurk while lying on the sofa...
I haven't had a chance to use it much lately as my kids have taken for granted that since i got a PC now i haven't any more use for the machine...
But i do miss the lurking in a more comfortable position than sitting in front of the computer...
Talk soon...
