Hmmm, I re-registered ok, but I've got the new software too. You should be able to do it for them though.

I don't think everyone will have it until mid November, not that its any good. Now I'll have to make excuses to all those emails saying, "I CAN'T GET IN!!!"

Yep, so am I. I see you have the problem with the repeating letters too.
Poor Reb's, mind you it's quieter. Maybe you should leave him to sweat it out for a bit.

I won't be able to try the digibox until later on but it took me ages to get back in my account through the PC [kow got in before me...]...
Couldn't even open a new account...
So a wild uneducated guess would be that the digibox users who couldn't get in before should try again as they were some technical difficulties earlier on...
until we know more about the effect of the TW upgrade effect on the whole process that is... As only one of the two digiboxes here has been "upgraded" i might be able to notice any difference...
Also, it's important that they validate their email addy [i think that all they need to do is to forward back the BBC email confirmation but kow must be more up to date on this one as he got back in...]...
Talk soon...

I havent even had the "e.mail validation" which ih is odd considering i magaged to login again. I had the idea that if i logged someone in they would then be able to access on thier own digibox...seems that doesn't work as someone logged in on a pc, but still cant get online through thier digibox
Kow and I must be the only 2 digibox users online thanks to the upgrade. Dam keyboard has arkwrights stutter now though spend more time deleting words than typing them

Mmmm that will teach me replying before properly reading the messages... as you _both_ got in through the digibox...
One thing though is what kind of problem have they got?!... has it to do with the username they need to re-registrer with?! as this one was a bit confusing for many people...

I got in practically as soon as it came back online with no problems. So unless there's some JavaScript in the new re-registration I don't know...yet!
I'm just about to update someone now so I'll let you know if they have problems getting in.
Venus: Its a right pain innit?!

Delayed simulpost?!...
My connection is even slower than usual...
I'm getting lots of email alerts from the BBCiTesters Group so there might be some news on how things are going... hopefully things will get better soon [quite a lot of PC users seemed to have problems getting back into their accounts as well...]...
Back soon hopefully...

Venus: I haven't got on well at all. Hence the new account, I can't log back into my original one. Its only taken about a hour for me to reply.
People may have to register for a new account until the problems are sorted out.

Results from last night attempts to re-register the h2g2/LDers space through the digibox:
First there was no buttons to click for either new membership or returning member on plain skin... [there were there when we tested the darn system on the testing site...]
Clicked on "login"... but found myself back to square one...
Changed skin [ having clicked on "back to BBCi homepage" first ] and once back to h2g2 starts the process by clicking on the "sign in" button..............
To be told that there is a technical problem....
After a few too many messages telling me that there was a technical problem and, my patience having already been tested during the evening while trying to re-register my own account, i just gave up...
The sooner this thing is sorted the better...

It seems everytime I click on the sign in button it takes me to a screen saying h2g2 login but there's only the header there. Nothing to click on or anything.
Bloody technical problems!

Is it possible for you to create a "link" with your validation e.mail that could be sent to other digibox users?
