English history is not kind to Saint Joan. She has been vilified as variously a schizophrenic, a woman posing as a seer to avoid the inevitable marriage/diifficult childbirths and hard life which women of her day had to accept. But here was a 19 year old girl who had the courage of her convictions, moral courage and the physical bravery & stamina to lead armies. There are theories that the Templars had her brought to Uk to be trained in horsemanship and the martial skills required but the fact remains she gave up her life at Rouen in the flames and became a Saint and a veritable legend

Hi,
Joan of Arc is an interesting person in history. It made a very good film too. Joan led the armies of France to get rid of the English. The pope made Joan a saint. If god enpowered Joan to defeat the English, does this mean god was anti- English at the time? Why hasn't god helped other conquered peoples? I am not a believer myself.
