This is what h2g2 is for.
We exchange useful and important information about health topics.
And because somebody tells me about Lolcat, I spend a whole afternoon of a holiday season learning a new language. I will never look at Genesis the same way again.
Oh, and studying bizarrely subtitled pictures of felines.
Srsly, as they say.
Oh, and I have probed the mysteries of the kludge, found out about those enterprising folks at I Can Has Cheezeburger, and finally answered the persistent question, 'Why can't people on chatlines spell 'the'?'
I am agog.

Those are wonderful works of art.

I apologise for encouraging these people, Hypatia.
@Translation, because this is an English-only site: 'What in tarnation? Lolcats are in my journal, interfering with my orthography.'

Magwitch - My name is Mags and I am funky. Posted Dec 28, 2010
Oh my, I come to visit Hyp's journal and it's full of LOLcatsez. Most odd.
Loved the Star Trek one, have forwarded to my son on Mytwitface.
I do hope Syn gets some relief.

The lolcatz is definitely not a problem. I love it!
Thanks for the good wishes for Syn's eyes. Anything involving our vision is worrying. We're staying optimistic about it all. And we're very thankful that medicine has advanced to the point where a condition like this doesn't necessarily have a bad outcome like in the past.
All the folks who long for the "good old days" are welcome to them. Compared to a few generations ago, our lives today are amazing.

Amen. I just spent a couple of days with my family - intensive planning accomplished the once-in-a-decade miracle of all three siblings in the same room for 3 hours. Photos were taken to document this feat...
...and of the group - two sisters, moi, and Dad - three of us were able to hear each other due to the wonder of electronics. (Baby sister doesn't need a hearing aid, at least not yet.)
A question: Who wants to do the guide entry on Lolcats? If nobody else does, I will, but I thought I'd ask first to be polite.

Updating the updates, the last two episodes I've watched of Bergerac were a bit better. I'm keeping a happy thought. And my exhibit is here, assembled and awaiting a preview in 8 hours.

Now, I was joking, but that brings up the old saw about English speakers - that most of us can read scrambled words because we read them as a whole.

This makes us terrible proofreaders, though.
Key: Complain about this post
