Hello, my froody fellow researchers!!!
Greetings! It is I, the Elf of Betelgeuse Five, and having recently finished the Hitchhiker's Guide... Trilogy... heh heh... I decided to find people with whom to discuss such a marvelous, fantastic, and all-around froody book. Of course, I never expected this! This site is an amazing idea. It's even better than just a Hitchhiker's Discussion Board. I hope to contribute my knowledge of the galaxy (such as it is) to this site as best I can.
A little bit about me: I am, beyond my Betelgeuse heritage, ~gasp~ American, so first of all I think most of you will have to forgive any spelling "mistakes" I make with words like favorite, color, etc. However, let me just say that I have been brought up in a good family of British descent on my mother's side, thus I know what a real soft-boiled egg is, and for some reason I cannot explain I do realize that spelling my eye color as "gray" simply just does not work, and my eyes are grey instead. Second, beyond being an alien, I am under the age of 18, so to be nice to the goode folke of this site I will comply with the rules about revealing personal contact information, although if you simply INSIST upon contacting me my AOL Instant Messenger handle is QwertyElf. But please, even though I'm online quite a bit, don't IM me just to say hello; I get quite enough people talking to me as it is from being connected to other web groups, so generally speaking unless you're lucky I may be too busy to talk. And of course, during the school year, I have homework.
Beyond these business details, there's the stuff you really actually CARE to know. I.e., my favorite things. I suppose a list will do, even if my English teacher would disapprove.
Favorite Comedy: Monty Python and the Holy Grail
Favorite TV Show: Whose Line Is It Anyway? (followed closely by Frasier... is that broadcast in Britain???)
Favorite Book: The Lord of the Rings
Favorite Humorous Book: The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, of course
Favorite Color: Blue... I mean... yellooooooooowwww ;-) Um, actually, green.
Favorite Pasttimes: Reading, writing, learning about froody things, theater, and drawing
There's obviously more to me than that, but if you would care to chat about such things, I'm here.
Again, I'm going to try my best to contribute to this site, and I look forward to knowing some of you other researchers better! Au revoir, sayonara, adios, etc. etc. etc., i.e. farewell. And NEVER forget your towel, dude.
