Hello and welcome to h2g2 smiley - smiley

I am one of the site's Aces and it is my job to meet and greet new researchers and make sure that they are ok and can find their way around the site.

A page well worth looking at is the <./>Welcome</.> page. Here you can find out some general information about the guide and links to help pages.

May I also suggest visiting the <./>GuideML-Clinic</.>. GuideML is the computer language that h2g2 uses, and this page will help you to fill your user space with all sorts of neat stuff smiley - cool

If you are wondering how to make the smiley pictures like smiley - biggrin then click on <./>Smiley</.> which will take you to a page which shows all the smileys.

If you are feeling a bit lost then clicking on <./>DontPanic</.> will take you to the help pages, or feel free to ask me by clicking on the reply button below, and I will do as much as I can to help smiley - ok

Hope that answers any queries you have for the moment.

Tonto smiley - cheers

Hi Helen, I hope you are enjoying h2g2.

I'm not sure if I completely understand your question but I'll have a go. Let me know if I've got the wrong end of the stick.

Do you mean can you set an automatic signature, like you can in Microsoft Outlook for example, so that with every post, the message is automatically posted?

If that is the question, then I'm afraid not. All I would suggest is that you write your message and then copy and paste into every message after that. smiley - erm Hope that helps.

Anyway, where are you from<?>

I'm in Sheffield smiley - smiley

Tontosmiley - ok

Thanks for the answer. yes thats what i meant. I am not very good at explaining things unless i am writing a tutorial for friends .
Well i am from Bradfod. No great shakes though. we live on a hill and its colder up here . But at least we wont get flooed with all the rain.
I have been to Shefield three times. First we was going through the centre to go to LOndon on a coach. The second time was coming back. But we broke down at the fronty of some trafic lights in the centre.
We was struck there 3 hours waiting for another coach. When that coach came it was freezing and it never warmed up. there was a fault with the heating. We got home at 3 in the morning. Didnt even like London after all that.
The thrid time was when we went to see Billy Graham. Waste of time. we could not even see him.
Think i will stick to Blackpool in furture. Helen
