Hi! I am a member of the Terranic Army w/ your daughter. Have you ever seen Emmit Otters Jug Band Christmas? I am an ACE!!! Well, I am now an ACE I should say. Y.S. and I were made Aces at the same time. I am really excited. So if she can't answer a question of yours let me know I will try. But I think she knows her stuff.

Any member of the Terranic Army with my daughter is a friend of mine...I think...congrats on your acehood, your mother should be proud, If she is not I shall be proud by proxy for her. I'm still trying to get a banner of musical note on my site and keep coming up worng??? wrong. Any suggestions you may give will be greatly appreciated.

Have you read how to write in GuideML You can check it out here.

What Kind of Musical banner do you want, ie moving musical notes or just a banner with musical notes on it? If you let me know I would be willing to put up one on a page for you to cut and paste from.
Emmit Otter's Jug Band Christmas is a WONDERFUL movie. I am a huge Muppet fan and have watched and rewatched it since Childhood. I now have it on DVD. Emmit plays the Washtub Bass, because his mom has the washtub. Your daughter didn't tell me that, I read it on your page. It is a really cute movie. Emmit and his friends get together and start a jug band to win the local talent show. (towin the fifty dollors so Emmit can buy a piano for his mom) They learn a song called Bar-B-Q and when they get to the talent show someone else plays it and have to learn a new song on the spur of the moment. Emmit didn't want to to play washtub bass because he would have to put a hole in the washtub and his mom does laundry to make money. All of this is happening while his mom joins the Talent show and pawns Emmit's tool chest (the only thing his father left him) to make a new dress for the show. And wants to win to buy a guitar for Emmit. To make a long story short(too late), it all ends happily.
I really recomend it aspecially because you are in a jug band. Your daughter said her friend is trying to get her to watch it and I told her she should. I totally respect anyone with musical talent. My father was in a country band and as a kid I traveled around the country with him a bit. I didn't get his musical talent, though I try, but I got his mother's artistic talent instead. Have to go any questions let me know.

Dear S,
I too am a huge muppet fan,I can't believe I missed that one. I will go out asap and rent it. Our christmas is never complete unless we all watch the Muppet Christmas.(well that and Scrooged, which also has at least one puppet creature). One of my other all time favorite movies is Labrynth, except perhaps for the David Bowie in tights part-bad idea, I think!
I'm trying to get a series of about 5 musical notes to go right to left. I do like the idea of a banner though, I'd be happy with whatever you come up with I'm sure. I don't know what the deal is, I think I'm following directions...I've wondered if it isn't my computer, but I have done other things...I hope to get more help this wkend when I see my daughter.
Would I have heard of your Dad's band?

Try this it should work. I had to fiddle w/ it for awhile but I tried it and it works. This first part is just five musical notes floating by to the right.

This is the same thing but if you click on it, it will link you to the h2g2 Musicians Guild.

As far as my dad's band. He was in lots of things and when all over. The only one I can remember is Ray Malone and the Roughriders.
Have you seen The Dark Crystal? It was done by Henson. And was designed by Brian Froud the same person who designed Labrynth. The little boy Toby is actually Toby Froud, Brian Froud's son. Brian met his wife on the set of Dark Crystal and there kid is in Labrynth. It's a sweet story. And if you like Fairys Brian Froud has several books of his drawings out and he does alot of Fairys.
Talk Soon, let me know how it works.

Thank you so much my shallow president. I did just that, except I guess I used all uppercase letters. But this is great! My next project shall be a banner. and then changing colors on the notes.
Saw Dark Crystal years ago...the puppets were great, but I don't remember particularly enjoying the story. It may have been a bit dark for me...I have wanted to see it again for a while, because I don't recall much. Hey the guy who plays snuffleupagus(spelling to be corrected at a later time) lives up here somewhere near. Someone I know mentioned knowing the family...oh my poor middle-aged brain Thanks again!

Mom, it was Diane O. who knows Snuffy. They went to school together and she got me an autograph... he's friends with Nelson at the Museum too. His fam lives up there, but not him anymore.
I had the biggest crush on David Bowie when I was little because of that movie. I just saw him on Late night with Carson Daly, and he was a scream... made Carson look like an idiot.
Going to rent Dark Crystal this week because I never saw it but had the book on how it was made. And if they hadn't had to find real looking eyes for Dark Crystal, Yoda would have not been half as cool.
Rach.
