Chupa Chups

Well, I never knew Chupa Chups led such long and productive lives... here's a few fact's I've found out so far.

- first released in 1958
- "We must create a sweet on a fork" Enric Bernat, founder
- Original flavours: strawberry, lemon, orange, mint, chocolate, vanilla, coffee, cream, strawberries and cream
- Salvador Dali designed the Chupa Chups logo which is virtually the same today as it was the day he designed it in an hour on a newspaper
- big nightclub following in Sydney were it is the favourite of ravers snatching a quick sugar fix

A few interesting ideas, but nothing to hang an article on as yet.

Ideas for entries

Throwing around a few ideas for entries. Some silly things that I find completely fasinating.

* Chupa Chups and their silent invasion of the world: though all the big US companies get the biggest flamming for dominating wherever they go in the world, one Spanish country has influtrated to all corners of the world without a whisper being heard. The very humble Chupa Chupa are found all around the world, how have they made such an impact, and what are their future intentions. Chupa Chups homesite is- www.chupachups.com

* Freudian Slips: they say they're just you subconscious trying to break out, but what are Freudian slips and what are some classic ones. There was one mentioned on a entry recently, I'll have to go hunting again.

That's it for the moment, I'd like to get one of these running soon, but any ideas I throw into the journal as a reminder.

On and racing...

Well I've finally put down my introduction, played sucessfully with the GuideML and feel confident enough to leave this piece of bread out for the community to pick at.

Now, what else can I play with....

Da first.

The first entry in my new online jounal. I must say it is a little exciting. I've never had anything available online before and it feels like a symbolic start to a new way of life. In saying that, I don't expect to be too regular with this journal. I don't have a good track record.

The most regular I ever got with a journal was in school where journal writing was compulsory for English (Literature studies for the rest of the world). My friend and I has just discovered the power of writing stories, the control you hold over you character's lives was intoxicating. There just wasn't a spare moment or Math's class where we couldn't be seen hunched over our 'journals' writing another car crash, another broken hearted break up or some other shocking situation to place out hapless creations in.

Thankfully, our teacher never read what was written. His eyebrows would crawl up this brow as he noted how many pages were written since last he signed. Little did he know that my friend and I were having daily competitions to keep a ten page average.

I don't miss much about school, but I guess I do miss all that wonderful free time to write. It may have been complete rubbish, but it was our complete rubbish and ensured us A for effort in English; if not in our Maths classes.
